Janine A. Wentz—CEO, Creative Director

Janine is a NJ native with 30 years of experience in the graphic design industry. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, she holds a BFA ('89) in graphic design, with a minor in commercial illustration. Her experience in the advertising industry is vast and diverse. She began in the private sector, working for several reputable NJ-based advertising agencies, working for a mixture of clientele, including telecommunications, manufacturing, non-profit arts, healthcare, engineering, professional services, and a variety of small-business consumer industries. In 1999, she began specializing in the pharmaceutical industry, servicing the professional, consumer and educational sectors on a wide-range of product projects and in a variety of mediums, including print, video, digital and direct-to-consumer marketing.
In 2000, Janine formed W Design with her husband, combining her agency experience with his mixture of small business and non-profit clientele. This new boutique studio widened the scope of their combined project-based freelance assignments and forged new creative relationships. In 2013 she became the primary owner for
W Design, LLC, marking us officially as a female-owned NJ business.
Since 2013, Janine has been actively blending her independent design work with agency consulting in the pharmaceutical sector. In 2018, that experience lead to a new consulting opportunities and her full-time return to W Design as Creative Director. Janine is instrumental in setting up best practices for the creative portion of the studio, while maintaining our creative team of in-house and freelance professionals.

Jonathan Wentz—Managing Art Director

Jonathan was born and raised in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. He received his undergraduate degree (BFA) in Art & Design from Rochester Institute of Technology, specializing in graphic design, with a minor in industrial and interior design. In 1990 he relocated to the New York Metro region where he worked as a graphic designer in the advertising and professional services industries. 1993, he began working in the corporate sector for a major Wall Street investment firm, where he was a VP Senior Designer in their Graphic Communications department. There he managed art and design for over 20+ internal departments, including their Mutual Fund Group which managed and marketed over 70 funds.
In 2000, he left corporate America to manage W Design, a NJ-based boutique design studio he opened with his wife, serving a wide range of clientele. His strengths include extensive experience with logo design, branding, digital imaging, as well as print campaigns (collateral, advertising, and direct marketing). Since it's inception, W Design has developed several relationships in the non-profit and performing arts industries in the New York/New Jersey Metro area.
Today Jonathan continues to focus on art creation (logos, branding, digital imaging), procuring and maintaining accounts (both as a consulting resource and independent projects), as well as business management of the studio (technology, hardware, web presence, and billing.)
